Sun Sep 3, 2006, 4:04 PM
Yeah its been a while but I've just updated my portfolio with a new piece hazzah! Criticism is welcome as usual so please make a comment! ^_^

In other news I will be enrolled in university come this time next month so life is about to step up a knotch and therefore I will likely have more to show on DA in the coming months with all the new experiences and feelings I will no doubt have to express in some sort of artistic endeavour.

Anyway thats that, lata peeps. ;)

Banninated!

Wed Apr 5, 2006, 6:02 AM
So I was banned for a while there..... I tell you my eye ducts have been cried dry due to the pain of it all. Aside from that I've got nothing to report..... Yeah I seriously don't use DA enough to feel the full force of that Ban.... lol I think I only discovered it 3 quarters of the way through. But for whatever the reason that I got banned it was more than worth it... not that I'll be pushing my luck again any time soon but I felt I had to do what I did.

Peace out peeps! ;)

Picking up where I left off...

It’s been a while since I commented here so I guess it’s only right to add the old obligatory "Happy Late Year New!" thing... well that’s that over with, not very elegantly dealt with but it'll have to do you!

-THE EXCUSE-

I have recently been snowed under with assignments and looming dead lines so I’ve never had time to pay very much attention to my Deviant Art space but as of this very second and as you can clearly see I am free to do as I will so heres a line up of the current two art projects and odd other stuff I'm working on.

-ANIMATION-

Currently I am working on a single Pixelated animation revolving around Duck Hunt for the NES, featuring everybodies least liked Dog... errr the Dog (If he actually has a name please correct me) who is taking up the starring role in the flick. Seeing as the Dog from the Game was only ever made with about 10 sprites you can imagine how many custom Sprites I've had to make during the movies as present 1+ year development time (I do nothing fast you see) in order to make him do acrobatic dives, jumps, sprints, somersaults, emotions, attacks and snappy poses. I've never sat down to count how many customs I've actually made altogether but their must be hundreds.

Don't be fooled though there are plenty of other characters within the movie that receive the same custom treatment, and all of which are scrutinized and animated to what I see as perfect. All the characters that are featured within the frash have been recruited from exclusively 8 Bit Nintendo games.... well there are one or two exceptions but all are given the 4 colour per sprite 8 Bit overhaul... or downgrade if you will, required to fit in with the feel of the movie.

This flick is planned to be something very different and original from what every other pixel artist/ animator has ever shown you and I’d like to assure you that despite the inevitable death of the Dog at the end of the movie, you will soften towards him as I have. Actually after becoming so intimate with him I have become very fund of Nintendo's teasing Dog!

Oh and on a closing Note, the Frash movie is to be called "Super Duck Hunt: Ultra Quattro Xtreme..." (This title is of course a direct piss take of all the many pathetic names for game sequels out there. :) )

-ART-

Once again using Macromedia Flash I am working on a Sonic the hedgehog piece (thankfully this time not pixelated!) where by he fights a gang of Buzzer Badniks in the sky above an anxious crowd. I will post a preview for this very soon, but of what I have done now it is by no means complete! (Note this is a still drawing done and coloured using Macromedia Flash)

-CONCLUSION-

And that’s it for my big update and hopefully with this preview I'll lure a few new viewers to my Deviant Art space... so me myself and I wish me luck! :P

This Girl Owns!

Tue Dec 20, 2005, 7:56 AM
So after a brief trek through some Super Sonic art I've come across my favourite Sonic artist... notice the way I didn't say "one of my favourite" thats because this girl's art fucking rocks.

Her name is Thalia Evans and goes under the name of Uber Rockchick here. I presumed she was a guy until today but hi I know better now and you just know I'll be keeping an eye on her work from here on.

I first caught wind of this girls art a good year or so ago when she stood in to draw a few issues of Sonic the Comic Online and her style hit me immediately as being simply the best kicking the clean shit out of anything SEGA or Sonic Team had ever managed to create.

So Kudos to you Thalia... Kudos!

Just Arrived

So this is Deviant Art, I don't know why I'm acting surprised because I've traversed through the site manys of times before but now that I've finally registered after next to three years of activity on the inter-web it all seems new and fresh... and rather fucking confusing!

But I'm sorted now and think I've added all the info I need to have in place before I start submitting my work.
